✉️ 黎明을 선물한 우리의 道伴에게

— 사진가 몽실 님께 드리는 感謝의 마음

 

그저 흘러가는 말 한마디였을 뿐인데,

그대는 결코 가볍게 흘려보내지 않으셨습니다.

 

마음속에만 남아 있던 옛 철길의 풍경을 찾아

수원의 붉은 급수탑 앞으로 기꺼이 걸음을 옮기시고, 

내가 미처 가 보지 못한 곳들을 대신 찾아 나서 주셨습니다. 

 

그 다정한 실행력과 따뜻한 마음을 

나는 오래 기억하고 있습니다. 

 

새벽의 어둠이 채 걷히기도 전, 

안개 낀 소래의 습지로 향하시던 발걸음 또한 기억합니다. 

 

어떤 대가를 바라기보다 

사진을 향한 순수한 熱情 하나를 품고 

렌즈 너머의 세상을 담아내시던 

그대의 고요한 뒷모습을 나는 보았습니다. 

 

그대가 보내 준 사진 속에서 

나는 새벽이 태어나는 순간을 만났습니다. 

 

하늘과 땅 사이에 낮게 내려앉은 안개, 

그 위에 묵묵히 서 있는 풍차들. 

그리고 풍차들 곁으로는 

몽실몽실 줄지어 선 가로수들이 

새벽빛을 품은 채 들판을 건너가고 있었습니다. 

마치 그대의 이름이 

그 풍경 속에 조용히 스며든 것처럼. 

동틀 무렵 떠오르는 태양은 

들판 위에 황금빛 숨결을 펼쳐 놓고, 

그 빛은 조용히 번져 나가 

세상을 한 폭의 그림처럼 물들이고 있었습니다. 

 

그대가 아니었다면 

나는 끝내 저 풍경 속에 숨어 있던 질서를 

발견하지 못했을지도 모릅니다. 

잠든 사람들이 아직 꿈속을 헤매고 있을 시간, 

그대는 카메라를 들고 길을 나서셨고, 

나는 그대가 데려온 빛으로 

오늘 밤의 畵幅을 채우고 있습니다. 

 

생각해 보면 

그대가 건네준 것은 한 장의 사진이 아니라 

새벽을 기다리는 마음이었는지도 모르겠습니다. 

 

그래서 오늘 밤 

나 또한 그 마음을 따라 

한 폭의 그림 앞에 조용히 앉아 있습니다. 

 

고맙습니다. 

 

시간을 건너 마주 앉은 우리의 友情이 

소래의 물결처럼 오래도록 흐르기를 바랍니다. 

 

카메라를 든 그대의 걸음마다 

늘 좋은 빛이 함께하기를 바랍니다. 

 

그리고 그 빛이 

또 다른 누군가의 마음을 밝히는 풍경이 되기를 바랍니다. 

 

오늘도 진심을 담아 

그대의 康寧과 幸福을 기도합니다. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

🎨To the Companion Who Gifted Me the Dawn

— For Photographer Mong-Sil

 

It began with nothing more
than a passing remark.

A fleeting wish,
spoken lightly and meant for no one in particular.

Yet you carried it with you.

You walked toward forgotten railways,
toward the red water tower standing watch over Suwon,
toward places I had never reached,
as though another person's longing
had quietly become your own. 

And before dawn could loosen 

the last threads of darkness, 

you were already on the road. 

 

Through the mist-covered wetlands of Sorae, 

camera in hand, 

you followed the silence 

to where the morning was waiting to be born. 

Not for reward. 

 

Not for recognition. 

 

Only for the simple joy 

of meeting light 

and bringing it home. 

 

Through the photographs you shared, 

I witnessed a world awakening. 

 

Wind turbines stood in stillness above the fog. 

 

Rows of trees, 

soft as little clouds upon the earth, 

wandered gently across the horizon. 

 

The first sun of morning 

unfolded its golden breath over the fields, 

and light spread outward 

like a blessing finding its way. 

 

Had it not been for you, 

I might never have seen 

the hidden harmony living inside that landscape. 

While others still wandered through dreams, 

you stepped into the darkness. 

And tonight, 

I fill my canvas 

with the light you brought back. 

Looking back, 

perhaps what you placed in my hands 

was never a photograph at all. 

Perhaps it was the quiet patience 

of one who waits for dawn. 

And so tonight, 

following the path of that same patience, 

 

I sit before a painting 

and wait for light in my own way. 

Thank you. 

May our friendship, 

having crossed both distance and time, 

flow on like the waters of Sorae. 

May every road you walk 

be accompanied by good light. 

And may the beauty you discover 

continue to brighten the hearts of others, 

as it has brightened mine. 

For your kindness, 

your devotion, 

and the dawns you have shared,
